It was 1340 when we started. But this starting was not the beginning of our love along the passage of our ardent desire. The love which since the past years around the 10the decade got stuck in the heart of Shafaghi Carpet . Tabriz streets are the witness how the knots, base, loom, warp and woof has been summarized in children’s games. He learned carpet knitting, reading designs and sketching from his father . He grew up healthy, active and energetic through the interest grasped from the designs created in the Iranian carpet. His fingers and palms danced since he was youth, which lead him in gaining popularity. Darning was his extreme love. His used to do darning SYPMATICALLY ON THE HURTS (HOLES) made in the carpet accurately and technically for which he became famous throughout Tabriz as a darning expert. But his love was creating designs and recreating what has once been lost.

Shafaghi Carpet started it’s activities in the 1340’s. And now we stand on the opposite horizon full of brilliant hope and pride.
The profitable and modern workshops throughout west Azerbaijan which are well known in innovating pictures and ever remaining portraits sit in the heart of Shafaghi Tabriz carpet.
